MATERIAL: 100% fique yarn, a variation of Sisal. Fique is a natural fiber that grows in the leaves of the fique plant (Furcraea andina ), a xerophytic monocot native to Andean regions of Colombia. It grows from 800 to 2.5000 meters from the sea level, his life varies between 12 and 20 years with special cases 60 to 70. The fiber is tough, thin, shiny and white, normal production per plant is 1 kg per year with an exceptional production of 3 to 6 kg per year. Fique yarns, as other sisal varieties, are naturally anti-static and have positive values of thermal and sound insulation.
